Day 1: Welcome to the Pearl of Africa! | 1 Nights
Entebbe, Uganda
A private transfer will whisk you away to your overnight lodging when your international flight touches down in the charming town of Entebbe. Day 2-4: Volcanic Crater Lakes & Chimpanzee Tracking | 2 Nights
Kibale Forest, Uganda
Chimpanzee Tracking at Kibale National Park | Uganda
Your private transfer van will bring you through picturesque countryside to your next location after breakfast. Travel past the famous Ruwenzori Mountain Chain as well as tea plantations and undulating hills. Midway through the afternoon, you will reach the small and charming Ndali Lodge, where you may relax by the pool and see the breathtaking scenery from the edge of a long-gone volcano. The day will come to a close with a guided stroll around the rim of the volcanic crater lake right outside the resort.

Get something to eat once your walk is over. After you finish your lunch, you should be able to go chimpanzee tracking at Kibale Forest National Park. Day 4-7: Exciting Game Viewing | 3 Nights

Day 7-10: Track Gorillas & Golden Monkeys | 3 Nights

Travelling from Kasese to Kisoro is possible via light aircraft. You will reach Mount Gahinga Lodge by late morning thanks to a pleasant transfer. One of the most desirable places in all of Western Uganda is home to this five-star, private resort. Located in a charming garden setting, you will be able to take in breathtaking views of the three majestic extinct volcanoes that make up the Virunga Volcanoes.

As you cross the border into Rwanda, you may say goodbye to your tour of Uganda. The people here are quite welcoming. For the next three nights, you will be staying at the Virunga Lodge, a place that is both homely and incredibly luxurious. Sitting atop a lofty hill, this picturesque resort offers breathtaking views of the surrounding forest and the five dormant Virunga Volcanoes.
You will only be able to see gorillas in their natural habitat in a small number of locations throughout the globe. The best places to go for this are Rwanda and Uganda. It is only fair that you get to cross Rwanda off your list as well, after having the opportunity to monitor gorillas in Uganda. Among the most exciting African wilderness adventure activities is a gorilla trekking expedition in Volcanoes National Park.
Hikers interested in conservation, history, and animals would adore exploring the park to see Diane Fossey’s grave and the site of her former Karisoke Research Centre. Day 13-14: Hotel Rwanda & the Genocide Memorial & Museum | 1 Nights
Kigali, Rwanda
Leaving Virunga Lodge after breakfast, you will travel to Kigali, the last stop on this incredible vacation. If you’re a history geek or film lover, you might remember the Milles Collines Hotel as the historic setting for Hotel Rwanda; you’ll reach this picturesque city in plenty of time for lunch there. A total of 1,268 Rwandans were rescued from the ongoing genocide in this very hotel.
Continuing with the day’s theme, you will continue your tour by visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial & Museum. Here, you may learn more about this awful event in Rwanda’s history and pay your respects to the lives lost.
Your day will conclude with a night’s rest at The Retreat, a boutique hotel in Kigali that expertly combines Italian design with high-quality Rwandan workmanship and artisanship.
Day 14: Say Goodbye to Rwanda!
