When you get there, settle into your treetop suite at Tarangire Treetop Lodge, which will serve as your base of operations for the following two days, and get to know the Maasai Warrior who has been tasked with protecting your suite from wildlife while you’re away. The 20 suites at the upscale camp are tucked away among Baobab and Manila trees and offer uncommon bird’s-eye views of the surroundings. Each roomy apartment features a private outdoor shower, an en suite bathroom, and a view of the Tarangire Sand River that is completely unobstructed.

Day 4 – 5: Transfer to Ngorongoro

Enjoy your breakfast before meeting your driver, who will take you to the Entamanu Ngorongoro Tented Camp for the next two nights. This intelligently planned refuge is perched high on the renowned Ngorongoro crater rim and offers luxurious tent accommodations that are gentle on the environment and provide an amazing vantage point from a stunningly remote setting. In the middle of old acacia trees and dormant volcanic slopes, seven en-suite tents provide an interesting viewpoint that puts the significance of the crater ecosystem into sharp relief. You can participate in immersive walking safaris and crater game drives while you’re there to get a closer look at the famous Ngorongoro crater’s wildlife.

Numerous herds of buffalo, zebra, gazelle, tsessebe, and even black rhinos are attracted by the nutrient-rich grasses that cover the caldera’s mineral-rich floor. The population of predators that follows is one of the densest you’ll find anyplace on the African continent, with lions making up the majority of it.

Included Activities

Participate in in-depth walking safaris on the crater rim and daily game drives to learn about the famous Ngorongoro crater’s flora and fauna. At twilight, enjoy sundowners on the rim.

Day 6: Transfer to Serengeti

Take advantage of one final breakfast at Entamanu Ngorongoro Tented Camp before meeting your driver. He will transport you to Serengeti Pioneer Camp, where you will spend the following three nights in the famous South-Central Serengeti. The gorgeous Lake Magadi, the mysterious Moru Kopjes, and, of course, the yearly Maasai Mara/Serengeti wildebeest migration—which is likely the region’s second-most popular attraction after sightings of the Big Five—can all be explored from Serengeti Pioneer Camp. The camp, which was modeled after the traveling camps of the early 1900s, successfully captures the timeless attraction of a vintage African safari with its 12 en-suite tents that are filled with the spirit of that era’s heyday of discovery and adventure.

We strongly advise an encounter with the KopeLion team for visitors who have a strong interest in wildlife protection. Here, you will learn more about what it’s like for the Maasai to coexist with wildlife and how the team is promoting this coexistence in Ngorongoro.

Included Activities

While searching for incredible wildlife sightings, explore the Serengeti, Lake Magadi, and the Moru Kopjes by game vehicle. Next to sightings of the Big Five, the Serengeti wildebeest migration is undoubtedly the region’s main draw.
