This park is a classic big game spot, with plenty of elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, hippos, and crocodiles, in addition to more chimpanzees who like to hang out at the gorge. The Impenetrable Forest of Bwindi is where your journey will next take you. Among the various activities available during your three nights at the Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge are gorilla trekking, hikes to nearby volcanoes, encounters with the indigenous Batwa people, viewing golden monkeys, and excellent birdwatching.

A Detailed 11 Days Great Apes of Uganda Itinerary

Days 1-2: Entebbe

You will be met upon your arrival off your international aircraft and then taken to No. 5 Boutique Hotel to spend your first night adjusting to your new surroundings. The hotel is conveniently located just a 10-minute drive from Entebbe International Airport, making it an ideal gateway to Africa. The rooms are luxurious and tastefully decorated, the meals are mouth-watering, and there’s a pool and spa to relax in before venturing out into nature.

Day 2-5: Kibale National Park
