The itinerary typically features gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, followed by a flight to Tanzania to explore the Ngorongoro Crater and the vast plains of the Serengeti, including top wildlife spots.
You will have the opportunity to acclimatise before setting off into the Serengeti habitat, starting at the tranquil Legendary Lodge close to Arusha. We next head to Namiri Plains, a secluded area of the eastern Serengeti famed for its abundant big cat populations, especially cheetahs.
You will be in the best spot to see the Great Migration while the herds are in the area if you travel north to Sayari. Spending your last three nights in Uganda in Erebero Hills, with its historic landscapes and abundant wildlife, is the perfect way to end your 9-Day Bwindi Gorillas And Serengeti safari.
A Detailed 9-Day Bwindi And Serengeti Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Tanzania
We will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport and welcome you to Tanzania.
Transfer to Legendary Lodge in Arusha
Overnight at Legendary Lodge
A kind driver will be waiting to take you to Legendary Lodge when you land at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Nestled in the serene surroundings of a bustling coffee farm at the base of Mount Meru, this is where you will spend the night. After a long day of travelling, unwind in your cosy cottage with a therapeutic massage or some peaceful time to yourself.
Day 2 – 3: Experience big cat country at Namiri Plains

The journey to Seronera Airstrip in the Serengeti National Park begins after a hearty breakfast as you make your way to Arusha Airport. An agent from Asilia will be waiting to take you to Namiri Plains when you arrive.
The Serengeti is well-known as a habitat for exceptional animals and as the site of the world’s most spectacular wildlife migration, the Great Migration. Game drives and walking safaris, accompanied by an expert guide, are available from your private accommodation at Namiri Plains, allowing you to explore this great wildlife habitat. The region surrounding Namiri Plains is famous for its high rate of big cat sightings.
When you’re not adventuring in this untamed landscape, unwind with a massage or soak up some rays from the poolside loungers.
Day 4 -5: Explore more of the Serengeti from Sayari

You will be staying at Sayari Camp in the northern Serengeti, so make your way to the airfield this morning for your flight to Kogatende. During the Great Migration, which takes place in this Serengeti area from July to October, you may witness the magnificent river crossings up close and personal.
During the months when animals aren’t migrating, game drives and even camp can provide breathtaking views of the local fauna. Indulge in a spa treatment, swim in the pool, or just relax on your porch while listening to the bush while you wait to see the many creatures for which the Serengeti is famous.

Day 6-8: Take to the forests of Uganda

You will return to the airfield this morning to board an aircraft to Entebbe, and from there to Kihihi airfield. Upon arrival, a representative from Asilia will be there to take you to Erebero Hills, the newest Asilia camp.
There are two gorilla trekking departure locations in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest that are easily accessible from Erebero Hills, making it a perfect location for gorilla trekking. Soothe aching muscles with a luxurious massage after a day of trekking the highlands in quest of gorillas to watch.
Immerse yourself in the culture of the Batwa people and learn about their deep connection to the vegetation of Bwindi.
Day 9: Bidding farewell to the forest
Flight to Entebbe International Airport
After breakfast, take in the breathtaking woodland views from Erebero Hills. Your 9-Day Bwindi And Serengeti safari comes to a close as you return to Kihihi Airstrip for your journey to Entebbe. From there, you may join your international aircraft home.
