Vumbura Plains | Okavango Delta, Botswana

In the far north of the Okavango Delta, Vumbura Plains is a wonderful camp that is located in a private concession that borders the Moremi Game Reserve. The Vumbura Reserve has a huge crossing area of about 24,000 hectares with a wide range of habitats and species.

The Vumbura Plains provides the complete spectrum of wildlife activities thanks to its constant water and huge area of dry ground. Take to the water in the privacy of a traditional mokoro or nimble delta boat to take in the breathtaking scenery, birdlife, and wildlife. On the ground, your ranger will drive an open game-viewing vehicle into the swampy floodplains. A peaceful and personal interaction with the magnificent African wilderness is made possible through walking safaris and bird watching. Make use of the mobile spa’s massage services once you’re back at the camp.

This Vumbura Plains camp is divided into two distinct lodges, each with seven suites. A lush canopy of native trees covers the raised wooden platforms on which the tented Suites are located. The interior design has a Scandinavian flair and is light and airy. Each suite offers its own deck with a plunge pool, an outdoor shower, and an elevated lounge that overlooks the aquatic plains. Enjoy exquisite dinner while traditional dancing is performed outdoors in the African bush.
