Day 3 & 4: Chobe National Park

Botswana Chobe National Park: The Land of a Million Elephants

You will be driven, after breakfast and a leisurely morning, to Chobe Game Lodge in the Chobe National Park, where you will spend two nights.

To go from Vic Falls to Kasane, where you will meet your lodge guide, takes around an hour. It’s a beautiful drive, and you may see elephants and other wildlife even along the asphalt road’s sides. Go into Botswana from Zimbabwe—an event unto itself. Then you go straight on safari.

When there: The only permanent lodge located inside the confines of Chobe National Park is Chobe Game Lodge. Constructed amid riverbanks with breathtaking views of the Chobe River and floodplains, this renowned resort is an ideal starting point for visitors to explore the Chobe National Park.

Elephants are most concentrated along the Chobe River on Earth. Elephants graze in masse on the luscious mangosteen and jackalberry trees that tower above the ground with enormous dense canopies, knee-deep in the gently flooded plains of the river.

Optional motor boat safaris, canoeing safaris, guided walks, fishing, sunset river cruises and game drives into Chobe National Park are available at a time and frequency that suits you. The program is flexible and varied.

*Every planned camp activity with lodge guides is included in your fully included stay.

Day 5 & 6: Okavango Delta

After breakfast and the morning exercise (if time allows), you will be driven to Kasane Airport to catch a flight to your first Okavango Delta lodge. You are travelling to isolated Nxaragha Island.

Transfer out of the park (another game drive) and meet your pilot for a briefing on route. Sort your belongings and climb aboard your plane to take off. Flying above the park and into the Okavango Delta, observe how the scenery changes. Seek out the fauna. Elephants and bigger animals can easily seen from up there. It is enormously beautiful.

When there: All water-based activities via the winding, reed-lined rivers will be included in your stay. A means of getting up close to the distinctive scenery and profusion of species. Numerous neighboring islands offer walking safaris as well. A genuine safari experience in one of the most unspoiled wilderness regions of Africa.

*Your fully inclusive stay covers all planned camp activities.

Day 7 & 8: Okavango Delta

You will fly light aircraft to Camp Moremi for the following two nights after breakfast and an early morning activity (if time permits).

From any direction, the Okavango Delta gradually opens up to expose its enormous, watery wildness. The terrain shifts from acacia woodlands to verdant islands with riparian and broad-leafed woodlands, tall palms, and dense shrubbery. Flying between camps allows you to see the enormous ocean world below you from a different angle. You’ll be combining land- and water-based safari activities in the Moremi Game Reserve, an amazing wildlife-rich region, where your camp is located.

When you’re there: Okavango channels and waterways are visited by delta-boat safaris interspersed with morning and afternoon game drives on the floodplains.

Situated in the delta on the edge of a lagoon, Camp Moremi offers a private balcony for your tent and a spacious game viewing deck and lounge and living area in the main lodge.

The Moremi Game Reserve is home to a profusion of wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, wild dogs, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and an abundance of antelope, including the endangered red lechwe. There are hundreds of recorded species, several specials, and some well-known birding locations, making birding excellent.

* As booked completely inclusively, your stay includes all planned camp activities with your lodge guides.

Day 9 & 10: Makgadikgadi Pans

Makgadikgadi Pans – Botswana

You will be flown by light aircraft to Leroo La Tau after the morning activities, where you will spend the final two nights.

From the Okavango Delta, game drive back to the runway to board your light plane transport to the Makgadikgadi Pans, your next destination. Flying over the huge and endless pans of the Botswanan desert after passing over the meandering canals of the delta is an other experience. Experienced on the ground as bizarre. To see it from above is even better. It seems inconceivable that you are still in the same nation.

When there: Rising magnificently above the Boteti River, which spans the western boundary of Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, is Leroo La Tau. An entirely different sensation is provided by the Makgadikgadi than by the Okavango. Here, huge pans glisten into the distance and, during the wet summer, fill up with water, drawing thousands of flamingos, pelicans, migratory waders and woodland birds. When thousands of zebra, wildebeest, and other antelope flee the predators up north for some lush grass down south, the summer rains also draw the second largest animal migration in Africa. Both interesting exploration trips to the Makgadikgadi and Nxai Pans and excellent general game watching are available during the winter dry season.

*As your stay is fully included, the lodge guides will plan all of your activities.

Day 11: Maun

Breakfast and your final morning activity (if time permits) will be enjoyed before you are flown by light aircraft to Maun to make your next travel plans.

Reversing the trip to start in Maun (Botswana) and finish in Victoria Falls (Victoria Falls Airport, Zimbabwe) or Zambia (Livingstone International) or to start and finish in Vic Falls… Talk to your Travel Expert right now to start planning your African vacation; the possibilities are endless.
