Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

Day 2: Drive from Entebbe / Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Travelling to Queen Elizabeth National Park from either Entebbe or Kampala will take around seven hours by car. Travelling across the center of the country allows you to take in stunning vistas of the diverse landscape. As you go, you’ll see quaint communities, expansive tea plantations, and beautiful lakes (including the world-famous Lake Mburo). Zebras, antelope, and even the rare elephant can cross your path if you’re fortunate.
Day 3: Discover Queen Elizabeth National Park in a jeep and a boat
Once you’ve explored Queen Elizabeth National Park on foot, it’s time to relax on a boat and see the park’s many hidden treasures from the Kazinga Channel, where you may see crocodiles, colourful birds, and hippos.
Day 4: Drive from Queen Elizabeth to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Drive from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, taking in the breathtaking scenery of Uganda for five to six hours. A verdant forest slowly replaces the broad savannah plains as you watch the scenery change. A journey to remember!
Day 5: Mountain gorilla trekking in Buhoma (northern sector)
Since its inception in 1993, gorilla trekking in Uganda has been led by the largest sector, Buhoma, which is situated in the northern section of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Hikers will love this area because it is less strenuous than other parts of Africa and has some of the most breathtaking woodland paths. Treks typically run between two and four hours, participants are required to wear appropriate footwear, and groups of up to eight individuals are allowed; however, sightings of gorillas are not guaranteed. Participants must be at least fifteen years old. Additionally, a permit and guide are necessary for the immensely popular activity of gorilla trekking. Because of this, it is essential to prepare ahead of time and reserve this one-of-a-kind experience independently.
Day 6: Drive back to Entebbe/ Kampala
Once again, on your way back to Entebbe, you’ll drive past the villages, each with its bustling marketplace, and the expansive countryside, dotted with coffee and tea plantations, verdant hills, and the rare sighting of wildlife that may greet you with a goodbye salute. Returning to Entebbe is an adventure in and of itself after a few days of pure excitement!
