A Detailed 15-Day Romantic Chobe, Okavango Delta & Mozambique Itinerary

Day 1-2: Explore Chobe National Park | 2 Nights

Your thrilling adventure starts when you touch down at Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport, where you’ll catch a connecting flight to Botswana’s Kasane.

You will be escorted to the Chobe River area by a short chartered flight after your arrival in Kasane. Continuing onwards, you will be driven to Chobe Chilwero Lodge, which is perched on a cliff overlooking the Chobe River and its expansive floodplains.

Enjoy traditional canoe and motorboat trips to be guided through the watery, wildlife-filled channels; go on 4X4 game drives to search for the region’s legendary wildlife; take guided nature walks to learn about the environment’s fascinating details; and spend your time here appreciating the world’s biggest inland delta.

Back at camp, enjoy some cocktails by the fire before settling down to a starry night supper.

Days 5-6: A Game-Rich Okavango Delta Island | 2 Nights

The biggest landmass in the Okavango Delta, Chief’s Island, is where you’ll spend the next two nights at Chief’s Camp after a flight today.

Animals that thrive in the dry conditions of the Okavango Delta are particularly numerous in this region. As you go on game drives in this varied and consistently rewarding area, keep an eye out for predators such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, and wild dogs.

Also, you won’t find the rare white rhino anywhere else in Botswana; this region is where they call home. You can go on game drives in the morning, afternoon, or evening, or you can rent a mokoro and paddle about the Delta’s numerous channels.

Back at camp, you can enjoy the hottest portion of the day lounging by the pool or getting a spa treatment while taking in the breathtaking scenery.

Day 7: Spend a Night in Johannesburg | 1 Nights

Your journey through the Okavango Delta will come to an end this morning as you board a charter jet bound for Maun, where you’ll transfer to a flight to Johannesburg.

You will be escorted to the magnificent Fairlawns Boutique Hotel in a verdant suburb upon your arrival. Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and relax by the poolside.

Days 8-14: Enjoy the Ulimate Paradise Escape | 7 Nights

Get back on the plane to Vilanculos at OR Tambo International Airport. From here, you’ll be whisked away to the Azura Benguerra Resort, an island in the breathtaking Bazaruto Archipelago, by rented helicopter. Here, in this remote paradise, you can relax for a week surrounded by beautiful coral reefs and pristine waterways.

Indulge in a variety of water sports like windsurfing, water skiing, sea kayaking, snorkelling, and scuba diving to discover the neighbouring coral reef. The day will culminate with a romantic candlelit dinner for two as you dine barefoot in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.

Day 15: Return to Johannesburg
