Day 1-2: Experience Tarangire’s Biodiversity at Oliver’s Camp
Better than the Serengeti?! Insane Tanzania Safari (Tarangire National Park)
Upon your arrival in Tanzania, we will arrange you a private driver-guide to take you to Tarangire National Park. With its varied landscape ranging from granite peaks and river valleys to the wildlife-rich Silale swamp near Oliver’s Camp and the greatest concentration of elephants in Tanzania, this stunning park is home to more than 500 bird species. The savannah is dotted with baobab trees. Experience thrilling game drives and walking safaris to learn about animal tracking and explore smaller species. On the other hand, you can go on an exciting night drive in search of elusive nighttime animals or ascend into the sky in a hot air balloon at sunrise.
Among the original properties in the Asilia portfolio is Oliver’s Camp, which was established in 1992 by the legendary safari guide Paul Oliver. We have built a warm and inviting base for exploring this stunning park over many years.
There are a total of fifteen tents at Oliver’s Camp, distributed evenly between two groups of ten and five. The dining room and living room of each wing look out over the Tarangire River floodplains. With indoor and outdoor showers, flushing toilets, and big en suite bathrooms, these tents are sure to be comfy. Your private terrace offers a tranquil setting where you can unwind and take in the expansive scenery of the surrounding wilderness. The pool is a great place to cool off while you’re not out on game drives.
We will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)
