Generally the best time to visit Zimbabwe is between June or July and October. Wildlife viewing is superb at this time as animals congregate around rivers and waterholes. This is notably so in the Hwange National Park where the artificially pumped waterholes draw large herds of elephant. Victoria Falls is worth a visit at any time but is at its most dramatic when the flow of water is at its highest from February to June. It is nearly as magnificent in July to September when the mist is less and the sights sharper.
