Access & Location:

Wilderness Usawa Serengeti features nine camp areas that provide access to essential migratory points across the Serengeti. Two campgrounds remain perpetually accessible, contingent upon the migration route, for optimal wildlife observation. Access to Wilderness Usawa Serengeti is via scheduled light plane, followed by a brief game drive from the airstrip to the camp. Access to the southern camps is feasible by 4×4 vehicle during certain times of the year; however, it is predominantly achieved via air travel.

Wilderness Usawa Serengeti consists of two mobile camps, each hosting 12 guests in six meticulously crafted safari tents with 360-degree mesh sides. The camp provides a secluded and very private safari experience in the Serengeti, distinct from the more congested areas. The tents are meticulously designed, featuring comfortable front-facing mattresses, an indoor shower, a double-basin vanity, and a separate toilet. The room is equipped with a writing desk, bedside tables including reading lamps, leather storage compartments, and charging stations for all your photographic requirements. Additional amenities comprise an electronic safe, suspended storage, storm lanterns, a complementary tea and coffee station, a yoga mat, and Wi-Fi access. The camp operates entirely on solar power, aligning with Wilderness‘ exemplary environmental standards. This philosophy encompasses the deliberate design of the tents, featuring shaded net roofs and zippered mesh for optimal ventilation. Externally, there exists a modest seating configuration featuring a hammock, perfect for enjoying coffee in the early morning.

The common mess tent features a cosy lounge, dining area, bar, a modest research library and a spotting telescope. Guests congregate around the campfire for evening refreshments and safari narratives prior to dinner. The cuisine is exceptional, indeed the finest available for a transportable tented camp of this type. Dining is mostly communal and outdoors, however private dining is available upon request.

Note: This property is unfenced and situated in a wildlife region, allowing for the passage of large and potentially hazardous animals.
