Activities At Serengeti Safari Camp

Serengeti Safari Camp specialises in wildlife drives centred on the Great Migration of the Serengeti.

  • Game drives: Professionally led game drives occur in the early morning and late afternoon, with the possibility of requesting a picnic lunch to remain in Serengeti National Park throughout the day. The primary objective is to witness the Great Migration. During the period from December to March, one can observe substantial herds of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelles congregating in the southern short-grass plains, with calving occurring in February. The herds migrate to the Moru Kopjes region in April and May, marking the commencement of the rutting season. The dates of June–July and August–November are designated for river crossings, during which the herds navigate the Grumeti and Mara rivers. All excursions are led by qualified safari guides, who are eager to impart their knowledge to you. The Serengeti hosts a remarkable diversity of wildlife, featuring, based on your position, all the big cats, elephants, buffalo, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, and an impressive variety of antelope species.

Note: This property is unfenced and situated in a nature region, allowing huge and potentially hazardous animals to traverse it. If you want to remain here, remain vigilant while traversing the camp and solicit a staff member to accompany you if you have any apprehensions. All guests are accompanied after dusk as a standard procedure.

Serengeti Safaris

The Serengeti ecosystem is a geographical area located in northern Tanzania, adjacent to Kenya, Lake Victoria, and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It is a UNESCO-designated World Heritage national park that provides safari experiences throughout the year.

The marvel and thrill of a Serengeti safari can be experienced during the low season when fewer tourists populate the magnificent surroundings. Between June and October, the Great Wildebeest Migration traverses the Mara River, presenting a remarkable spectacle, yet also constituting the peak season of the year. Observe the cheetah atop termite mounds scanning the terrain for prey, elephant herds across expansive plains, and other remarkable species.
