A Detailed 9-Day Phinda Private Game Reserve, South Africa Itinerary

Day 1-4: A Phinda Safari | 4 Nights

Get a rental car when you get to Durban. Then, spend the next four nights at the Phinda Forest Lodge in northern KwaZulu Natal.

The guests at Phinda Forest Lodge may look forward to thrilling game drives, guided nature walks, and boat excursions while they are there. Not only does the Phinda Game Reserve have an abundance of wildlife, including the large 5, but it is also home to an astonishing 415 bird species, making for some truly remarkable birdwatching opportunities. Other large game animals that call this reserve home include hippo and cheetah.

Other activities include deep-sea fishing and rhino tracking; after a day of exploring, you may unwind in your chalet or swim in the pool.

Days 5-8: Enjoy the Kwa-Zulu Natal Coastline | 4 Nights
