Access & Location:

Kuro, situated along the Tarangire River, offers an excellent perspective for observing the indigenous fauna as it traverses the park from the western hills to the eastern wetlands. You may observe the animals traversing the riverine boundary, extending from north to south. There are plenty spectacular vistas here!

Accommodation & Facilities At Kuro Tarangire

The primary lounge room of Kuro is spacious and decorated in a minimalist yet organic style. Wooden chairs and sofas are adorned with substantial soft upholstery, all in muted tones of blue, brown, and cream. The walls and roof consist of exposed thatch, a design that fosters a strong connection to nature. The expansive windows and the unobstructed side of the space provide exceptional opportunities for wildlife observation; when you see the roaming animals from your seat, you may feel inclined to join them. Proceed through the door to access the eating area. Alternatively, opt to dine al fresco on the wooded terrace, where you will have a splendid view of the scenery regardless of your choice. Kuro offers six exceptional tents, each equipped with en-suite bathrooms that include an eco-flush toilet and a bucket shower. Rooms are predominantly furnished with comfortable oak beds, adorned in a simplistic yet sophisticated design. Additional furnishings comprise a table and chair, while the flooring are adorned with vibrant rugs. The family tent features two bedrooms, each equipped with an en-suite bathroom and a connected lounge space, accommodating families or small groups for sharing. Notwithstanding their simplicity, the tents are remarkably big and meticulously designed. Tarangire National Park provides an opportunity to observe the Big Five, Tanzania’s most substantial population of elephants, and more than 500 avian species. Although less renowned than the Serengeti, it is ideal for travellers desiring serenity and abundant space. The park showcases stunning vistas of granite slopes, river basins, woods, savannahs, and wetlands.
