Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 – 2: Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi

As soon as you land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, your 9 Days in Kenya begins. For a smooth arrival, a representative from Kabira Safaris Africa will meet you and help you through customs. You will then be driven to Hemingways Nairobi, a chic boutique hotel that is only 15 minutes away from the action-packed city center. Nairobi was the residence of Danish author Baroness Karen Blixen-Finecke, making it the ideal place to begin an “Out of Africa” safari. After checking in, take some time to wander the 10-acre property’s grounds that overlook the Mbagathi River, relax on the wicker furniture on the expansive terrace, or use the gym’s steam room and sauna. The bar serves Hemingway’s original creations in addition to amazing cocktails. The highlight of your trip to Nairobi will be a full-day private city tour, especially if you get to see the beautifully maintained farmhouse where Karen Blixen lived from 1917 to 1931. The Bomas of Kenya is a fantastic site to learn about the way of life and culture of each tribe, thus we strongly advise visiting them.

Included Activities

On a full-day city tour, discover Nairobi. You will go to the Giraffe Center, the Daphne Sheldrick Wildlife Trust‘s orphan-elephant rescue facility, and the Karen Blixen Museum, where you can see her coffee farm, and the original 1917 farmhouse. You’ll also go to the National Museum and the Kazuri Bead Factory, if time permits.

The award-winning luxury camp has a vintage feel from a bygone era and offers modern amenities while being situated in a secluded conservancy just one kilometer from the renowned Maasai Mara. You can take advantage of allusions to the real safari experience while you’re there. A customized canvas bush bath with champagne and a special twilight adventure in a vintage safari car have been planned in the savannah. A private butler with silver service, amazing stargazing, informative seminars, conservation trips, coffee sampling, and foraging are also available. There are lavish three-course dinners with tables set up in the middle of the jungle.
