Insightful Guided Cape Town And Kruger Tour Itinerary

Right at the bottom of the massive African continent, South Africa is home to the two most visited destinations, Cape Town and the Kruger National Park. For everyone wishing to see Africa, they are ideal locations. Kruger is the Big 5 safari capital; Cape Town is a multicultural city with a rich history and culture and some of the best restaurants in the nation.

Though the distance between them (almost 2,000 km or 1,250 mi) and the difficulties of combining a Cape Town and Kruger safari can be a little daunting, they do make the ideal match for both first-time tourists to Africa and those who have already visited the continent. The most often asked questions by tourists on seeing these two places in one trip are answered in this book. Find out below how to travel from Cape Town to your Kruger safari or the other way around:

Johannesburg and the Kruger. What an absolute mini feast this six-day trip will be. The oldest city in South Africa and its largest national park are visited for three days each. The good and bad of holiday possibilities. Trendy and untamed. Raw and cultured at same time. Many times affluent. Not in the same ways. The apparently opposed things really complement and interact. If you are unable to choose, this is the perfect trip. And ideal if your mate and you are complete opposites.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1, 2 & 3: Cape Town

Regardless of your level of experience with Cape Town, there is always something or somewhere fresh to discover. Spend the next three days based here, so get comfortable and arrange. Or just follow the flow and see what happens.

On route: Your driver will greet you at Cape Town Airport and take you to your bed and breakfast.

When there: You might begin at the V&A Waterfront. Many stores and plenty of food. Still a thriving commercial harbor, it’s also a center of entertainment, including theaters and movie theaters. Quite astonishingly, it is now the most popular travel destination in South Africa. It’s also where the cruises to Robben Island leave. For eighteen of his twenty-seven years in prison, Nelson Mandela was housed on Robben Island. Additionally held here were two more future presidents. Jacob Zuma with Kgalema Motlanthe. It was also a military defense post, mental institution, and leprosarium. Much of the history of South Africa and Cape Town. One depressing concept and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

You might then visit Bo-Kaap and the SA Museum to find out more about the history of South Africa.

A short drive from the city core lies the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, should you need a break from all the study. Included in the Cape Floral Region of the UNESCO World Heritage, the gardens are regarded as one of the seven most exquisite botanical gardens in the world. That is quite a distinction.

Hurry over to Signal Hill if the sun is poised to set. About everything is visible from here, including the ocean, Table Mountain, Robben Island, and the city.

You might go across to the cable car and go up to the Table summit the next morning.

Hike it too if you’re feeling up to it. But because the weather can change swiftly here, this is better left to individuals who are experienced climbers.

Lion’s Head offers good vistas of Table Mountain and the beaches below and is a less strenuous climb. Camera out. Press.

Go now to the seashore. Luxurious option is Camps Bay. The Twelve Apostles are a range of sandstone rock that flanks it. A tonne of eateries, pubs, and coffee shops.

Work as little or as much as you like. Any further travels you would like arranged, we can do. Take a sidecar trip, hike, try sea kayaking, or even enroll in a Cape Malay culinary class. It might also be your day to discover the Cape Winelands.

Ascending the Cape Peninsula, stop at Boulders Beach to see the African penguins. One of the richest plant regions on Earth and another UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Cape Floral Region, will be passed on the route. There are crazily curved and cliffy sections. Many lookouts with amazing vistas.

Use the red hop-on hop-off buses to see Cape Town on your own or let us to set up a knowledgeable tour guide.

Day 4 & 5: Kruger National Park

Our EPIC Safari Experience at Kruger National Park

Excellent. You are within the nation’s largest and oldest national park. A million people come every year. Three automobiles were parked there when it first opened for business. They certainly disseminated the news.

Arriving at Cape Town Airport, you will be flown straight to Kruger National Park (own arrangement). Your lodge ranger will greet you as soon as you arrive at Hoedspruit Airport. After that, head to the lodge to unpack.

Arriving this afternoon, you will go on your first safari in this Big 5 reserve. Every morning and evening, in fact, you will go on a game drive. You can get within 5–10 metres of the bigger predators, even while they are eating on a recent kill, because the animals are rather calm about the cars because they are used to them and know they won’t be hurt.

From wide veld to thick bush with baobab, marula, acacia, and mopane trees, the vegetation changes. The Big 5—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo—abound. You can view hippos and crocodiles in addition to a variety of antelope, zebra, and giraffe. Gazing at 500 different bird species.

A waterhole at most lodges draws all kinds of animals, big and little, day and night. Front of your lodge, you may see elephant, baboon, warthog, perhaps lion and leopard.

Even better, night drives allow you to see nocturnal animals in their natural habitat and occasionally even witness a hunt. You have a far better chance of sighting some animals, especially leopard, because lions and hyena hunt now. Among the many animals that graze are buffalo, wildebeest, kudu, and impala. Animals will be sought for by your tracker using a strong floodlight. Either hunting or grazing, it’s amazing.

A highlight are meals. There are locally branded drinks provided in the all included lodges. Brunches, al fresco lunches and early breakfasts. A fantastic way to wind down the day is with dinner and a drink over the camp fire. Beside an African starry sky. Just amazing.

Day 6: Kruger National Park – Departure

Still to come is the end. There is time for one more early safari and a filling meal before you carry on with your journey.

In route: Check to see what you haven’t yet seen. If that makes any sense.

When there: Get lucky and get going early. In the Kruger, it’s not a tough job, so fingers crossed. You will then be driven back to Hoedspruit Airport by your ranger. Claim your aircraft. Relish the final six days and sit back. Check out your pictures. Dream about wonderful times.
