Detailed Itinerary
2 Nights in Kunene River
Located in northern Namibia, bordering Angola, this famous river flows for 325 kilometers. Imagine huge, serene rock pools, majestic waterfalls, and raging white-water rapids. Guests to the area are treated to fantastic opportunity to watch game and birds as the river draws in a variety of wildlife.
For the most daring visitors, this region is ideal for fishing, canoeing, white water rafting, climbing, and more; it is also a photographer’s paradise.
2 Nights in Damaraland
Damaraland is like another planet, with its vast, arid landscapes inhabited by animals that have adapted to life in the desert and remnants of bygone civilizations. Its hilly regions are adorned with ancient San rock art, featuring the world-famous “White Lady” in particular. Safari drives across the varied landscapes are a highlight, as is the opportunity to see animals such as elephants, rhinos, and lions.
The Petrified Forest, with its renowned fossilized tree trunks dating back 280 million years, is another must-see. There are so many different types of landscapes that you will be able to take stunning pictures!
3 Nights in Etosha National Park
Self-Drive Safari in Etosha National Park
Etosha National Park, one of the world’s largest, is unlike any other park. To begin, the local Bantu language has a name for it: Ethosha, which means “The Great White Place” in English. A huge, level, ghostly white salt pan—the meaning of the title will become clear upon first glance. Reason being, it was once submerged in the ocean but has now dried up. Several animals call it home now, including four of the Big Five and uncommon ones like black rhinos and black-faced impalas.
For good reason, this park is famous; there’s a plethora of attractions to keep you occupied.
