Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 – 2: Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi
As soon as you land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, your 9 Days in Kenya begins. For a smooth arrival, a representative from Kabira Safaris Africa will meet you and help you through customs. You will then be driven to Hemingways Nairobi, a chic boutique hotel that is only 15 minutes away from the action-packed city center. Nairobi was the residence of Danish author Baroness Karen Blixen-Finecke, making it the ideal place to begin an “Out of Africa” safari. After checking in, take some time to wander the 10-acre property’s grounds that overlook the Mbagathi River, relax on the wicker furniture on the expansive terrace, or use the gym’s steam room and sauna. The bar serves Hemingway’s original creations in addition to amazing cocktails. The highlight of your trip to Nairobi will be a full-day private city tour, especially if you get to see the beautifully maintained farmhouse where Karen Blixen lived from 1917 to 1931. The Bomas of Kenya is a fantastic site to learn about the way of life and culture of each tribe, thus we strongly advise visiting them.
