A Detailed 14-Day Bush And Beach | Masai Mara, Serengeti And Zanzibar

Day 1: Nairobi

Touch down in Nairobi, the Kenyan capital. A private vehicle will be waiting for you at the international airport to take you to your accommodation.

Before you set out to discover Nairobi, take some time to unwind in your hotel room. Explore the city’s vibrant marketplaces or pay a visit to the Karen Blixen Museum. Visit the Giraffe Centre or the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to learn more about their conservation initiatives. In fact, the Nairobi National Park offers excellent safari opportunities.

In the evenings, you can enjoy live music at one of the city’s many venues or dine at one of the many famous restaurants serving traditional cuisine.

Day 2: Masai Mara

Brace yourself for an adventure like no other! A private vehicle will pick you up from your accommodation and take you to the Nairobi airport. Get on a plane and head to the Masai Mara. You should expect to be in the air for about an hour. Upon disembarking at the Masai Mara airstrip, a representative will arrange for a transfer to your accommodation.

The Masai Mara is an incredibly beautiful place to visit. Safaris in the morning are the best time to see predators such as lions, elephants, zebras, and even leopards hunting. In the Mara, it’s just another day at the office.

On safari, you can take pictures of the most breathtaking scenes, such the Masai Mara’s diverse residents against a backdrop of shifting oranges and yellows, or the silhouettes of acacia trees. Taking a hot air balloon ride above the Mara or going on a guided bush walk will give you a different perspective on the area and its fragile ecology.

Embark on educational visits to nearby Maasai villages to learn about the culture, meet locals, and gain a better understanding of their traditions and practices. Indulge in a full bush breakfast or lunch while you sip sundowners on enchanting evenings.

Day 5 Serengeti (Central)

Your hotel will arrange you a transfer to the Masai Mara airport. The gateway to the Central Serengeti is Migori, therefore a quick flight there is in order. With the border transfer included, the total travel time is four or five hours. A shuttle will take you from the Central Serengeti airstrip to your accommodation as soon as you touch down.

You may be fortunate enough to see the Serengeti’s leopards and lions hunt down zebras and wildebeests. Engage in enriching safaris accompanied by an expert guide, or embark on illuminating bush walks to get a closer look at your environment. Every year, millions of wildebeest and zebras make the long trek from the Serengeti to the Mara and back again in quest of water and food. Depending on when you go, you might be able to see this incredible spectacle up close and personal.

Intriguing birdwatching tours await you—grab your binoculars and aim them aloft. Indulge in bush breakfasts and lunches while making lasting memories under the starry sky for dinner. Savour delicious, freshly prepared meals while inspiring one another with stories of the area and its history with your knowledgeable guides.

Day 8: Manyara & Ngorongoro

Next up on your safari is the Ngorongoro Crater. The four- to five-hour travel to this UNESCO World Heritage Site will be facilitated by a chauffeur-driven vehicle.

Known for its diverse fauna and lush vegetation, Manyara National Park is a must-visit. You may observe elephant herds, birdlife (including 350 species), and even tree-climbing lions if you put in the time and effort. Thousands of pink flamingos flock to the alkaline waters of Lake Manyara during the correct season, providing an unforgettable spectacle.

Take in the breathtaking scenery of the Ngorongoro Crater as you watch wildlife graze in its shadow. Look out for zebras, wildebeests, leopards, hyenas, and rhinos! Have a relaxed picnic in the woods.

Day 10: Zanzibar

The scenery needs to be changed. To get to the Manyara & Ngorongoro airfield, where your flight to Zanzibar will depart, a representative will pick you up from your hotel. It takes about two or three hours for the flight to complete. Your transfer to your accommodation will begin as soon as you touch down in Zanzibar.

Soak up some rays and restore your equilibrium in this tropical haven on the shore of the Indian Ocean. Its blue-green seas are perfect for tanning, and you can also go on an underwater experience with multicoloured species.

Explore the multiethnic history of Stone Town. Indulge in memorable dinners in a setting that will transport you to another time and place as you take in the picturesque architecture, fragrant spices, and other elements of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 14:

You will be transferred from the hotel to the airport for your flight back home.
