A Detailed 5-Day Luxury Great Migration Tanzania
Day 1 — Northern Serengeti
Fly to the Serengeti after your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport.
Immerse yourself in the Great Migration for three amazing nights at the exclusive Olakira Migration Camp, a mobile camp that follows the Serengeti’s course.
The camp is in the ideal location in Ndutu for calving season from December to March. From June to October, it relocates north for the spectacular river crossings. The tiny camp has beautiful, en-suite tents with great views of the animals, and each one has its own special stargazing extension so you can sleep beneath the African sky. Experience a safari like no other at Olakira with knowledgeable guides, friendly hospitality, and a prime vantage point to witness nature’s most breathtaking display.
Day 2-3 — Northern Serengeti
On safaris, you will be accompanied by friendly and knowledgeable guides in specially designed 4×4 vehicles. The cars are prepared to make sure you are secure and comfortable on the game drives that are offered twice a day. Additional conveniences like snacks and drinks are available.
With more than 700 species of birds and 70 species of big cats, the Serengeti is home to an astonishing variety of animals. Big cats, elephants, hyenas, and various plains animals are all possible sightings from Olakira, though the Great Migration is the main draw.
All of the campers’ meals are prepared with organic, locally sourced ingredients, so they’re healthy, delicious, and full of flavour. On morning game drives, breakfast is usually a picnic. A three-course meal can be eaten in the dining room or even outside under the stars, while lunch can be savoured in the shade of the trees.
Day 4 — End Of Itinerary
You will have the opportunity to bid farewell to your guide and the rest of the team at camp this morning. Return transportation to Kilimanjaro Airport is part of this package after a leisurely game drive to the airstrip.
An extra night or two on safari allows you to see more of Tanzania, including the Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park, and Zanzibar.
