A Detailed 10-Day Tanzania Northern Circuit Itinerary

Arrive in Tanzania | 1 Nights

Safari in Tanzania awaits! The Arusha Coffee Lodge, a hidden treasure in central Tanzania, should be your first stop. Immerse yourself in a one-of-a-kind African adventure at this resort nestled in the verdant grounds of a coffee plantation. You are welcomed into the lodge’s delightful and rustic ambiance as you arrive, and a warm cup of freshly brewed coffee is served to you. Sit back and take in the tranquillity of the coffee plantation while you swim in the pool or curl up in the couch with a good book.

With freshly brewed coffee available at all times, the lodge’s restaurant serves a delicious blend of international and African cuisines. In sum, your Tanzania safari would not be complete without a night or two at the Arusha Coffee Lodge.

Days 2 – 3: The Safari Begins in Tarangire | 2 Nights

Tarangire National Park, famous for its solitude away from the masses and flourishing flora and fauna, including elephant, is reached via a pleasant transfer. For the first two nights, you’ll be staying in Oliver’s Camp, a delightful tented camp that offers a stylish and comfortable take on the classic safari.

See the park’s thriving elephant and lion populations up close and personal on day and night safaris. Alternately, you could get out of your car and walk about. Enjoy your relaxation at Oliver’s as you take in the sights of giraffes and elephants as they meander by the camp.

Days 4 – 6: Elephants in Ngorongoro | 3 Nights

Before you’re carried away to your next location, you can enjoy a beautiful breakfast during your last moments in Tarangire. Any itinerary to Tanzania must include a visit to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Ngorongoro Crater, the biggest volcanic crater on Earth, and vast herds of wildebeest are the most famous features of the area.

The Highlands will undoubtedly be the most memorable part of your vacation during your brief stay there. The stunning natural scenery is nearly overshadowed by the distinctive architecture, elegant furnishings, and cutting-edge facilities and services of the award-winning camp. There are so many things to do that you won’t have time to appreciate this architectural marvel. Your exciting adventures await you on this section of your journey, which includes day game drives in pursuit of lions, elephants, and giraffes, hikes to the peak of the Olmoti volcano, stops at the local town, and hikes to the shimmering Empakaai Crater Lake.

Days 7 – 9: Explore the Serengeti | 3 Nights

The world-famous Serengeti will serve as the last destination on your safari across Tanzania. Spending your last night in one of the most famous safari locations in Africa will be an unforgettable experience. In addition, the Wildebeest Migration is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that you might have the opportunity to witness if you visit during the months of January and March.

Living it up in the African bush is a breeze at Dunia Camp, a small, portable camp. Here, you’ll walk over rough terrain in pursuit of the enormous animals that call this region home, such as elephants, leopards, and cheetahs. Perched on the granite boulders of the neighbouring Moru Kopjes, you might even catch a glimpse of a lion watching the plains below for its next meal. As an added bonus, Dunia Camp is located on the migratory route, so you may see the wildebeest and zebra as they search for greener grazing grounds every year—if your travel plans are perfect, of course.

Day 10: Bid Africa Farewell

Indulge in your final meal in Tanzania before boarding your trip back home while you savour your breakfast.
