Nanyukie is located adjacent to the Maasai Steppe in Serengeti National Park. Nanyukie will be reached through a road transfer from Seronera Airstrip, taking roughly 45 minutes.

Accommodation & Facilities At Lemala Nanyukie Lodge

Nanyukie offers guest lodging of 15 tents, each strategically positioned to ensure significant solitude. A staircase ascends to a deck including several sun loungers and a private plunge pool. The interior comprises a bedroom with en-suite amenities and lounges on each side. The bedroom includes a double bed, a dressing table, wardrobes, and luggage storage boxes. The en-suite amenities include a separate flush toilet, dual washbasins, a shower, and a bathtub. An outdoor bathtub is also included, integrated into the private deck. The lounge includes comfortable chairs and a butler’s hatch.

Lemala Nanyukie is ideally situated to provide traditional safari experiences, including game drives and walking safaris.

• Expertly guided game drives: All safari excursions from Nanyukie will be conducted under the supervision of highly knowledgeable and experienced guides. This ensures thrilling observations of wildlife.
• Wildlife spotting: The Serengeti offers abundant sights throughout the year. The park’s diverse ecosystems, comprising savanna, forests, marshes, and riverine forest, inherently draw a remarkable array of species. All members of the Big Five are present here: lion, rhinoceros, leopard, elephant, and buffalo. Numerous additional predators and herbivores exist, including notable species like as the cheetah, hyena, jackals, wild dog, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, and a captivating variety of antelopes. Hippopotamuses and crocodiles frolic in aquatic environments, while primates traverse the arboreal landscape. Over 500 avian species have been documented, with notable Serengeti specialities including Verreaux’s eagle, Fischer’s lovebird, and Schalow’s turaco.
• Walking safaris: The ecology is replete with intriguing flora and insects, all poised for discovery during walking safaris.
• Great Wildebeest Migration: The Great Migration can be observed in the park throughout most months of the year; please consult one of our experts to determine the optimal times to witness this remarkable phenomenon.

Note: This property is unfenced and situated in a wildlife region, allowing huge and potentially hazardous animals to traverse the vicinity. If you want to remain here, remain vigilant while traversing the camp and solicit a staff member to accompany you if you have any apprehensions. All guests are accompanied after dusk as a standard procedure.

Serengeti Safaris

The Serengeti, renowned for the Great Wildebeest Migration, is also the habitat of the Big 5. This annual show involves millions of wildebeest, accompanied by gazelles and zebras, migrating in search of greener pastures while evading predators.

Their circuitous trip proceeds south into the Serengeti, then westward, subsequently north into the Maasai Mara, before returning to the origin. Predators stealthily follow, seizing opportunities to strike, rendering this voyage replete with thrilling wildlife encounters.

The Serengeti is poised for dramatic events, featuring diverse terrain that includes volcanic grasslands, expansive plains, rocky outcrops, meandering rivers, and woodlands.
