The Prefect 9 Days in Tanzania Itinerary Advice

The Prefect 9 Days in Tanzania Itinerary Advice. Arusha Coffee Lodge is the starting point for your leisurely 9 Days in Tanzania tour that highlights the traditional northern safari attractions of Tanzania. This affordable journey is perfect for honeymooners and couples because flying between camps allows more time on safari and provides lots of comfort.

The first stop is Tarangire National Park, which has the greatest concentration of elephants in the nation as well as stunningly gorgeous, unspoiled landscapes. Swala Camp, your eco-friendly lodgings, is completely isolated to provide breathtaking elephant viewing and has a minimal impact on the environment.

Your next stop should be the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you have a chance to witness elephants. Sit back on game drives to neighbouring Lake Manyara National Park, where you may look for the park’s tree-climbing lions, while enjoying panoramic views from Ngorongoro Crater Camp. A full-day safari to the Ngorongoro Crater, an old volcanic crater with steep-sided walls housing the densest concentration of big animals in Africa, including the Big 5, is also within the realm of possibility. With this camp, you may see two major attractions simultaneously.

This magnificent Wildebeest Migration culminates in the Serengeti. Staying at Kichakani Serengeti Camp, which is situated at three sites along the migration route, allows you to witness the herds come in up close and personal.

A Detailed 9 Days in Tanzania Itinerary Advice

Day 1-2: Coffee Tasting in Arusha | 1 Nights

Arusha, Tanzania

The Arusha Coffee Lodge is conveniently located five minutes from Arusha Airport, making it the perfect place to begin your safari. Situated on a thriving coffee farm, this charming lodge offers an elegant plantation-style setting, perfect for unwinding after a long journey and getting ready for your 9 Days in Tanzania safari. Relax with a treatment at the on-site spa while taking in breathtaking views of Mount Meru. Coffee lovers, don’t miss the opportunity to sample beans grown on the property; you won’t find a cup that tastes better! Converted from a plantation cottage, your suite features a fireplace and expansive estate views. Following a few cocktails at the Safari Bar as the sun goes down, head over to Redds African Grill House for a meal of continental and African fusion cuisine, with plenty of ingredients sourced from nearby farms.

Day 2-4: Tarangire – Land of Giants | 2 Nights

Tarangire, Tanzania

Tarangire National Park, Tanzania

Your journey begins in Arusha and ends with a flight to Tarangire National Park, where you will stay at the secluded Swala Camp. There is a big resident elephant population in the region, and many of them use the waterhole in front of camp. The location near water also ensures good wildlife viewing all year round. You can observe predators like wild dogs and large cats hunting in Tarangire, which has the highest concentration of animals outside of the Serengeti habitat. Tarangire is home to towering baobabs, popularly known as the strange “upside-down trees,” and is the only location in Tanzania where you can observe antelopes native to dry areas, such the fringe-eared oryx and the long-necked gerenuk. Morning and afternoon game drives, walking safaris, and spot-lit night drives are just a few of the activities available to you during your stay in your opulent tented suite, which features views of a waterhole and a personal butler.

Day 4-6: Lake and Crater Safari | 2 Nights

Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania

You will be staying in the cosy Ngorongoro Crater Camp for the duration of the next three nights. Guests can have some “down time” after their flight from Tarangire, and there’s also plenty of opportunity to watch the games. Take a full-day safari to the Ngorongoro Crater, the biggest intact volcanic caldera on Earth. It’s also the only location in Africa where you can view the Big Five—lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo—on the same game drive.

Day 6-8: To the Serengeti Plains | 3 Nights

Serengeti, Tanzania

Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

The Kichakani Serengeti Camp is a mobile tented camp that travels to three different Serengeti regions, allowing guests to almost always be in the best possible spot to witness the Great Migration, nature’s most breathtaking spectacle.

The birthing season of the wildebeest, massive herds migrating, or the dramatic months when the animals face up against large crocodiles to cross rivers in quest of new feed are all subject to change with the seasons. When you’re not marvelling at the migration, there’s much to see in the Serengeti: elephants, buffalo, antelope, baboons, giraffe, and, of course, the lion, cheetah, wild dog, spotted hyena, and leopard, among many other predators. When you get back to camp, you have the option to unwind in the mess tent while taking in views of the Serengeti, or you can choose to seek solace in your tented suite, which comes with its own private bathroom.
